Unfortunately, they went out in round one in series 5, leaving many to wonder if they were lucky to have won series 4 or if the first round winners were lucky.
They made up for that in Series 6 by making it to the Semi-Finals. Unfortunately they came up against Robotic File, who they fought at this point in Series 4. This time Robotic File flipped Cheese Pizza out and they unluckily lost to Razer in the loser's melee.
Cheese Pizza did no better in Series 7. They were knocked into the pit by Pussycat, who got some good attacks in.
The pull-back of the great Firestorm from Robot Wars. This pull-back didn't arrive until Extreme 1 was being filmed. Before then a lego version was used.
Firestorm is surprisingly the most successful robots in the series. It won almost everything thrown at it, including series 1 and 3. Firestorm (until Series 5) has never failed to reach the Grand Final despite a dodgy run in the series 4 semi-finals when they lost to Storm 2. Firestorm managed to get back in through the loser's melee by beating Ramp-Art and Raven before imobilising Dantomkia to get to the Grand Final, where they lost to Cheese Pizza.
Chaos 2 - One of 3 Robot Wars Robots that has won a series of Richies Robot Wars, winning series 2. Chaos 2 (until series 4) has never placed worse than third, and won series 2 beating DS Heavy in the grand final.
Robotic File -This robot is made from the little Robot Wars file and is dubbed the most dangerous robot in the series.
It's been competing since series 1 but it never really shined until series 2. In series 1, they were grabbed a lot by Razer and dumped in the pit in the second round.
In series 2, it fought Time Crisis in the first round. Time Crisis was sent flying within 30 seconds and it dented the bed-side table. Robotic File then fought Bigger Brother, who was flipped into Richie's face. He then accidently swore because it obviously hurt. After two attempts, Robotic File then flipped Bigger Brother over the CD player next to the arena and Bigger Brother was out. In the heat final Robotic File fought Time Crisis again. Time Crisis got back in through the loser's melee and wanted revenge, but again, Time Crisis flew out the arena. Robotic File celebrated by attacking the House Robots and beat them. Sadly, Chaos 2 shoved it into the pit in the semi-finals.
In series 3, Robotic File took on Top-Spinner and Rambo in the 1st round melee and flipped out Rambo within 30 seconds. Then they took on Lighting Storm. Lighting Storm couldn't go out the arena so they were flipped into the pit. Stinger was Robotic File's opponent in the heat final, but they couldn't get any powerful flips in and Stinger knocked it into the pit! This was one of the biggest shocks of the series.
Robotic File made amends in series 4 by flipping TROD out while Lighting Storm imobilized Hooker in the 1st round melee. In round 2 they beat Scope easily before fighting Lighting Storm again in the heat final. Robotic File was too quick for Lighting Storm and Lighting Storm was tossed out of the arena before Robotic File flipped out the House Robots.
Sadly they didn't do so well in the semi-finals. They nearly sent Cheese Pizza out before getting flipped out themselves. Robotic File then had to fight Tornado and Pussycat in the loser's melee. Pussycat was sent flying before Tornado dumped Robotic File into the pit.
However, they won Series 5 by flipping all but one of their victims out the arena. The one they didn't flip out was DS Heavy, who they beat on the only judge's decision of the series.
In Series 6 it got to the Grand Final again, but lost to Chaos 2. Chaos 2 got in some ferocious attacks, not giving Robotic File a chance to do ANYTHING and the champ went into the black hole. If that wasn't bad enough, DS Heavy put it in the pit in the play-off.
Robotic File made the Semi-Finals again in Series 7, beating Time Crisis and Panic Attack along the way but was flipped out of the arena by Dantomkia. Robotic File got stuck in some junk at the side of the arena and couldn't get out so it was eliminated.
Ramp-Art - This robot is basically made from the see-saw ramp. Ramp-Art is a powerful flinger but is an unlucky robot. It didn't have a srimech until Extreme 1. It was flipped by Atomic in round 1
in series 1.
They did better in series 2, but was flipped by Mortis in round 2.
They lost in round 2 again in series 3 when their locomotion broke in a fight with Oysterbot.
They finally won their heat in series 4 by flipping Mortis on its side, Check-Out in the pit and Spoon Menace and Storm-Chaser 2 out of the arena. But in the semi-finals, Chaos 2 flipped them out and in the loser's melee, Firestorm pitted them.
Sadly, they didn't do so well in series 5. Just as they flipped Back-Flipper out the arena in round 1, their locomotion collapsed again and Monster Egg's Revenge pitted them. This was the 2nd upset of the series.
They made up for this in Series 6 by making the Semi-Finals again. The locomotion was secured with selotape so that it wouldn't collapse again. They flipped all but 1 of their opponents out the arena. Firefly and Misfortiune Wheel flew out in round 1, Expert Beer Drinker flew out in round 2, but Stinger was too slippery to do much with in the heat final, so Ramp-Art pitted the seeded machine. In the Semi-Finals, they flipped Razer out, but lost to Robotic File by being flipped out themselves.
Ramp-Art got to the heat final in Series 7 and had a great battle with Roof-Razer, but Ramp-Art was flipped into the pit.
DS Heavy -This robot is made from a Nintendo DS with a broken screen and some card.
DS Heavy is a popular robot among fans and was a favourite since it appeared in series 1. It does well in the series and it takes a good robot to defeat it. They made the Grand Final in the 1st 2 series but lost to Chaos 2 both times.
In series 3 they had a new flipper attached and flipped all their victims out of the arena in their heat. In the semi-finals, they flipped out SMIDSY before falling to Razer.
Sadly, they didn't do so well in series 4. They beat Fake Wallet and Small-But-Mighty in the 1st round, but then they lost to Storm 2 in the 2nd round after the flipper was bent and got shoved in the pit.
They made amend in Series 5 by going all the way to the Grand Final, flipping Coke Cup Ghost Fan, Madness, Pussycat, Panic Attack, Chaos 2, Firestorm and Razer out the arena. They fought a good battle against Robotic File for the title, but it went to the judges. Nearly getting flipped out, the flipper bending and nearly getting pitted counted against DS Heavy.
But DS Heavy went through to the Grand Final again by flipping all their opponents out of the arena; including the impressive Wheely Big Cheese and Tsunami. But in the Grand Final Eliminator they fought Razer again. This time Razer was too quick to be flipped out and they grabbed DS Heavy and pitted it! They did, however, come 3rd by pitting Robotic File.
For Series 7, they fitted on a new flipper and flipped everyone in its path out of the arena and went onto win the series!
They flung TROD, Imposhunt, Misfortune Wheel, Spectrum Angel, Veta and Roof-Razer high and far out of the arena! They fought Dantomkia in the Grand Final eliminator but it accidently drove into the black hole!
Coke Cup Ghost -A Coka Cola cup turned inside out with a face. This is dubbed as the most useless robot in the series. It's a body spinner which is as harmful as a rose petal. It always gets knocked out in the 1st round except in series 3 when they survived attacks from Misfortune Wheel and Polish-Off. In the 2nd round they created a major surprise when Spectrum Angel was shoved into the pit after mis-timing a flip. Then in the heat final, Mortis battered it.
Coke Cup Ghost was then knocked over by Spin-Poker in the 1st round of series 4.
In Series 5 Roof Razer flipped them out the arena in the opening seconds of round 1.
Doing no better in Series 6, Lego Ref and Gold Slasher knocked them over in round 1.
In the head-to-head format in Series 7, Flying Saucer battered it.
Shield - A robot made from Future Hero White Metal Soldier's shield. (White Metal Soldier was a free gift in an issue of Yu-Gi-Oh World and is aka Black Metal Soldier in the series).
Shield is based on Bakasis from Frosty Robot Wars but isn't as successful. Shield has been to the heat final in the 1st 3 series but always got flipped out the arena by DS Heavy in series 1, Dantomkia in series 2 and Time Crisis in series 3.
In series 4, they failed to get there for the 1st time after Raven shoved it into the pit.
During a fight in Extreme 2, Shield's locomotion broke and they retired from the series. Shield was put in the bin but was then recovered and new locomotion made from a straw was given. Because of that, Shield was back in business.
In series 5 they fought Time Crisis again as well as Flat Steel and Oysterbot. Shield survived and took on Raven again in round 2. This time Shield got a lucky shove in on them and Raven was pitted and vengence belonged to Shield. But in the heat final, Time Crisis flipped Shield out of the arena just like in series 3, but it took longer!
They did well again in Series 6 by flipping Whistle-Blower and Spectrum Angel all over the place with some help from Flyboy. In round 2, they were in complete control over Hornet and Shield met Hypno-Disc in the heat final. Shield was in with a chance because the disc was too high to touch Shield. It made no difference though because Hypno-Disc simply pushed it up and over the fly-ramp and out of the competition.
Shield did worse than ever in Series 7. They were flipped out of the arena by Dantomkia.
Spoon Menace - A robot made from a plastic spoon. It's been in Richie's Robot Wars since the beginning. Until Richie's Robot Wars Extreme 1, it didn't have a srimech. It's a good robot, but very unlucky.
Their 1st ever battle was against Pussycat and Spin-Poker. They survived when Pussycat pitted Spin-Poker. Unfortunately they lost to Bigger Brother.
In series 2 they went out in the 1st round to Leather Lifter, which wa an upset because Spoon Menace looked like it was going to win. They then took on Robospider and Mysteron Gun in the heat loser's melee but they flung themselves into the pit!
They did no better in series 3. Atomic flipped them into the pit in the opening seconds.
Spoon Menace was part of the white team in the colour tournament in Extreme 1. They managed to get to the Grand Final, defeating Storm 2 on a very close judge's decision along the way after an epic battle. Sadly Firestorm flung Spoon Menace out.
They did better in series 4, when they used their srimech. They had Storm-Chaser 2, Oysterbot and Sir Killimposter in round 1. After Oysterbot took down Sir Killimposter Spoon Menace knocked Oysterbot into the pit after flipping Storm-Chaser 2 against the wall.
Their luck ran out in round 2 though when Ramp-Art flipped them all over the place and out the arena.
The bad luck continued in series 5. They were flipping everyone in sight but they flipped themselves out of the arena.
Series 6 was their best series though. They helped Tsunami beat Panic Attack and Phone-Flipper in round 1 and they put up a great fight against Chicken Tonight in round 2 but the chicken flipped the spoon out.
But Spoon Menace shone in Series 7. It got to the Semi Finals for the 1st time ever by flipping Robospider, Tsunami and X-Terminator in their heat. But in the Semis, Veta flipped them out.
