History

The Beginning

Chris 'Masterath' Prewett created Masteraths Robot Wars in 2000 under the name Extreme Robot Wars. Using the floor as the arena and a cardboard box as the pit. The competitors included anything that Masterath could get his hands on (Folders, Old toys etc.). In Christmas 2000 Extreme Robot Wars made it's debut with the first match of ERW Hot Wheel VS Firecar VS Blackshadow followed by the Main Event Hypno-Disc II VS Triangle Megabot II.

The Legacy of CO2

CO2 debuted in early 2001 when it fought Mad Dog, Crunch and Hypno-Disc II. Eliminating each robot in quick succession. CO2 would win the first World Championship as well. Beating the Meat in the final. CO2 Would win 5 series titles in 3 years.

Masteraths Robot Wars

Masteraths Robot Wars made 6 series before going global. Here are the results

Series 1: Crustacean
Series 2: Omega Killerlot
Series 3: Stinger
Series 4: Terminator
Series 5: Terminator
Series 6: Calamity Call II

Terminator is the only robot in the History of Masteraths Robot Wars (Since it Becoming Masteraths Robot Wars) to win Back-To-Back series titles. In the entire history, Terminator shares the same honour as CO2.

The Robot Rumble

Masterath's Robot Wars holds a Robot Rumble every series since series 2. Where the 20 seeds from last series fight it out there seeds number 20, 19, 18 and 17 start battling in the arena then every 10 seconds or after, the seed number 16 will enter the arena and so on. Elimination occurs by being flipped out of the arena, Pitted or pushed out of the door. The winner is touted as the favourite to win the series. However the only robot to have proved this theory right is Torto Terror who won series 5 and the Robot Rumble of that series. Only 3 robots in the history of Masteraths Robot Wars have competed in all 6 Robot Rumble matches. Calamity Call IV, Torto Terror and Ultimo.

Masteraths Robot Wars Interactive Championship

The Interactive Title was created in mid January 2010 where the challengers would be chosen by the YouTube public. The title is defended every fortnight. The first Interactive Title Match was on a January 16th episode of Legends where Impact won it's first ever title after beating Demon Horns. The May 13th episode of Legends was the final Interactive Championship match where the viewers could vote the challenge due to not many viewers getting involved. The final champion under the old format was Dragoo.
